This head of a Konik horse is a remarkable work of art in itself. Finely shaped, with a soft, almost oval line along the nose and strong, dark eyes that radiate a calm wisdom. The short, sturdy jaw and subtle, slightly convex profile give this head an ancient, almost wild character. It is as if you are looking back at the horses of earlier times in a single glance. The tousled, dark forelock completes the picture: simple, natural and yet strikingly beautiful in its pure simplicity.
